Control focused • Comfortable • Forgiving
The Adidas Adipower Multiweight 3.3 brings an adjustable weight system to the mid-range, with an EVA Soft Performance core and a medium-balance teardrop shape. Control 8, sweet spot 8, manoeuvrability 8.
The Adidas Adipower Multiweight 3.3 weighs 355–370g, with a teardrop shape and medium balance. Profile 38mm. Face: Carbon + Fiberglass. Core: EVA Soft Performance. Frame: Carbon.
Position within the Adidas padel line in 2025:
| Line | Level | Carbon | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metalbone 3.3/3.4/3.5 | Advanced–expert | 12K–16K Aluminized | €180–€380 |
| Adipower Multiweight 3.3 | Intermediate–advanced | Carbon/Fibreglas | ~€190 |
| Cross It 3.4 | Expert attacker | 15K Aluminized | ~€280 |
The Adipower Multiweight fills the gap between entry-level Adidas rackets and the premium Metalbone line. Its EVA Soft Performance core shares the playing character of the Metalbone 3.3 and 3.5: it is the same core technology, but with a lower frame specification.
Technologies:
- Multiweight System, adjustable weight inserts for personalised balance; unusual at this price
- Dynamic Air Flow, airflow optimisation for swing speed
- Spin Blade Decal, a textured surface for spin potential
- Smart Holes, an optimised hole pattern
The Multiweight System is the distinguishing feature. The adjustable weights let players change the effective balance: more weight higher up gives more power on overheads; more weight lower down gives more control and manoeuvrability. This level of adjustability is rare in the mid-range.
EVA Soft Performance is the same core as in the Metalbone 3.3 and 3.5: the soft EVA variant that prioritises sweet spot and comfort over explosive power. Sweet spot 8 and comfort 8 are the resulting scores, good for an all-round teardrop in this segment.
The carbon/fibreglass hybrid face is less premium than pure carbon. The response is slightly less crisp than with the Metalbone line, but for players with some experience, the practical difference is small.
Power is rated 7/10: that is the trade-off for the medium balance and Soft EVA core. Players whose game is developing and who want more power are ready for the Adidas Metalbone 3.3.
The Metalbone line has higher carbon specifications and is designed for experienced players through to experts. The Adipower Multiweight is priced more accessibly and aimed at players with some experience. The Multiweight System is an advantage the Metalbone does not have.
The Multiweight System lets you adjust the weight distribution in the frame by moving adjustable weights. More weight at the top creates a higher balance and more power on overheads; more weight at the bottom provides more control and manoeuvrability on defensive shots. This makes it one of the few rackets in the mid-range whose playing character you can adapt to your style without buying a new racket.

What you will notice as a player
The racket helps in defense: a calm swing sends balls off the glass deep again.
The sweet spot offers forgiveness: slightly imperfect contact loses little accuracy.
Comfortable in long matches: the racket cushions contact well, with little feedback in your arm.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Plenty of help: the low balance and generous sweet spot return balls off the glass calmly and deep. |
| Volley | Crisp and agile: aiming feels effortless and late adjustments remain possible. |
| Bandeja | Very easy to control: the ball stays low and predictable, ideal for controlling the court. |
| Vibora | It works, but speed and bite must mostly come from your own technique. |
| Smash | Enough power, but you still need to put considerable effort into the swing. |
| Block | Stable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control. |
| Off-center ball | Forgiving: just outside the sweet spot you lose little and the ball stays on course. |
