The Babolat Air Veron 2.6 2026 is the attacking variant in Babolat's Veron line: diamond shape with Carbon Flex face and X-EVA Soft core. Power 8, comfort 8, manoeuvrability 8. At 350–360g it is the lightest attacking Veron model, benefiting swing speed. For attackers with some to extensive experience seeking Babolat's Veron comfort in an attacking mould. Its strength: Carbon Flex cushions more than stiff carbon, staying more pleasant in prolonged play with less elbow stress. Its limitation: Carbon Flex has less explosiveness than technical carbon on maximum overhead swings, and sweetspot 7 limited by diamond geometry. At €229, an attractive entry point to the attacking Veron line.

The Babolat Air Veron 2.6 2026 weighs 350–360g, diamond shape, high balance. Profile 38mm. Face: Carbon Flex. Core: X-EVA Soft. Frame: Carbon. Price: ~€229.

Babolat Veron line 2026, three shapes:

ModelShapeBalancePowerControlPrice
Technical Veron 3.0 2026TeardropMedium88~€199
Air Veron 2.6 2026DiamondHigh87~€229
Counter Veron 2.6 2026RoundLow79~€179

The Veron line uses Carbon Flex, Babolat's flexible carbon providing more contact feel than standard stiff carbon. Deliberately cheaper than Viper, with greater comfort but less explosiveness at maximum swing speed.

"Air" is Babolat's designation for the diamond mould variant, the same naming as Air Viper. Diamond + high balance = attacking playing profile.

Technologies:

  • Carbon Flex, flexible carbon providing more feel and comfort than stiff carbon
  • X-EVA Soft, soft EVA for pleasant playing feel and vibration damping
  • Air mold (diamond), high balance for overhead power
  • Babolat 2026 construction, solid mid-range build

Power 8 and comfort 8 are the core scores defining Air Veron 2.6 2026. Carbon Flex gives more playing feel than Viper's standard carbon, making the ball feel as if it stays on the racket longer.

The X-EVA Soft core compensates for diamond mould stiffness. With Carbon Flex, comfort 8 is unusually good for an attacking diamond. Attackers with some experience seeking soft contact appreciate this.

350–360g is light: quicker swing and less fatigue over a match. High balance still produces distinctly head-heavy dynamics despite low total weight.

Sweetspot is 7/10. A diamond inherently has a smaller sweetspot than teardrop or round. Carbon Flex partly compensates, but it remains for attackers controlling their court position.

Attacking capability is good for a mid-range attacking racket. For maximum attacking power: Technical Viper 3.0 2026 or Viper Juan LeBron 3.0 2026 give more.

Air has a diamond shape (high balance, more power). Counter has a round mould (low balance, more control). Both use Carbon Flex. Choose Air if you attack; Counter if you defend.

Viper has a stiffer carbon type for more direct response. Veron has Carbon Flex for more comfort. Viper is for pure attackers; Veron for attackers also seeking comfort.

What will you notice on court?

What you will notice as a player

The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.

A balanced racket that responds predictably in most situations.

The racket offers little help in defense; returning balls off the glass takes considerable effort.

No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.

Which shots are affected most?

VolleyComfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low.
BandejaEasy to control: the ball stays reasonably low and predictable.
ViboraEnough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own.
SmashIts strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket.
BlockStable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control.
Off-center ballReasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained.
