The Black Crown Piton Epic Energy 2025 is a teardrop racket weighing 362 grams with medium balance. The hybrid core suggests a mixture of cushioning and responsiveness, although independent playing accounts are scarce. This first impression is based on specifications and the limited information available.
The Piton Epic Energy 2025 has a classic teardrop shape, generally suggesting a mix of power and control. At 362 grams, its weight is towards the heavier end, potentially providing stability during fast exchanges while requiring some physical agility. The medium balance places the center of gravity roughly halfway along the racket, an attempt to balance maneuverability and hitting power. The hybrid core is interesting: this technology promises to combine the properties of soft EVA (comfort, cushioning) with those of harder foams (reaction speed, output). How much this delivers in practice depends on its precise composition and layering. With a recommended price of 314 euros, Black Crown positions it in the mid-range, where regular players generally expect specifications to translate into actual performance on court.
What you will notice as a player
The racket helps in defense: a calm swing sends balls off the glass deep again.
A balanced racket that responds predictably in most situations.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Plenty of help: the low balance and generous sweet spot return balls off the glass calmly and deep. |
| Volley | Comfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low. |
| Bandeja | Easy to control: the ball stays reasonably low and predictable. |
| Vibora | Enough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own. |
| Smash | Enough power, but you still need to put considerable effort into the swing. |
| Block | Stable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control. |
| Off-center ball | Reasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained. |
