The Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2026 is an attacking racket that combines the manoeuvrability of a light frame with the power of a diamond shape. It wants to live at the net, accelerate quick exchanges and reward clean contact without putting extra strain on your arm. The combination of directness and easy handling stands out straight away, but the racket does demand good timing and clean technique.

The Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2026 combines a diamond shape with a weight of 350 grams, which feels relatively light for an attacking racket. The frame is entirely carbon, as is the face, made from HES Carbon 8K. The EVA Medium+ core works with the carbon construction to give a medium-hard feel. This build produces a crisp, direct response with little give on contact. The racket prioritises speed and precision rather than comfort or forgiveness. The balance point is high enough to generate power on overheads, but not so high that the racket becomes sluggish in fast exchanges. That balance makes it less tiring than heavier diamond rackets while retaining enough punch for attacking shots. The shape does bring a smaller effective hitting area, making clean technique more important.

From the baseline, the racket demands early preparation. Defensive lobs work well when you strike the ball cleanly and use the racket properly, but the response does not feel effortless. You have to work for depth rather than rely on a trampoline effect. On blocks and quick half-volleys, the racket becomes more demanding. Late contact can sting, and the racket offers little help in lifting the ball. That is the trade-off: fast handling and control, but less forgiveness when the pace is high and you are a fraction late. At the net, the racket comes alive. Volleys are sharp, direct and easy to accelerate. You can maintain pressure in fast exchanges without the racket working against you. Its manoeuvrability is clear here; changing direction quickly and keeping up the pressure feel straightforward. The racket has enough structure to stay stable on hard contact, which helps when volleying under pressure or closing down the middle. Bandejas and víboras are probably its best shots. It rewards a compact, fast overhead action with solid output and a crisp, controlled finish. Bandejas have good depth and enough bite to keep opponents back, while víboras have that sharp, skidding feel that is effective without a full swing. What you do not get is much effortless power. You have to bring the technique, but when you do, the racket responds exceptionally well.

For players who enjoy attacking, spend plenty of time at the net and trust their technique. It is a good fit if you want speed and manoeuvrability without the fatigue of heavier diamond rackets. It does require clean contact and good timing, so it is less suitable if you often have to improvise in defence.

Defensive lobs work well when you prepare early and strike the ball cleanly, but the racket offers little help on rushed blocks. Its stiff response can sting on late contact, and the racket offers little help in lifting the ball. If you want a racket that makes passive retrievals easier, this is not the best choice.

Advantages & considerations

Advantages

Direct, crisp response that supports precision on volleys and attacking shots.

Quick through the air, ideal for fast changes of direction at the net.

Bandejas and víboras come off sharp and controlled, with good depth.

Enough power on clean contact without needing an exaggerated swing.

Considerations

Small effective hitting area that punishes off-centre contact.

Can feel harsh on late blocks and rushed defensive shots.

Provides little effortless power; you need to supply the technique yourself.

The diamond shape makes the racket less forgiving of imperfect preparation.

What will you notice on court?

What you will notice as a player

The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.

You place the ball very precisely; controlling rallies, playing cross-court and finding the corners feels predictable.

Off-center contact is penalized: hitting just outside the sweet spot loses power and control.

No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.

Which shots are affected most?

SituationWhat will you notice?
DefenseReasonable: a calm swing returns most balls off the glass.
VolleyCrisp and agile: aiming feels effortless and late adjustments remain possible.
BandejaVery easy to control: the ball stays low and predictable, ideal for controlling the court.
ViboraEnough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own.
SmashIts strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket.
BlockStable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control.
Off-center ballUnforgiving: outside the sweet spot, both speed and accuracy drop noticeably.
