The Wilson Bela V3 2025 is the standard model in the renewed Bela line: neither the attacking Pro V3 nor the light LS V3, but the teardrop in between. It offers exceptional control, a sweet spot that feels larger than expected, and a character that rewards attacking play but demands more in defence.

The Wilson Bela V3 2025 weighs 365 grams and has a teardrop shape with a medium-high balance of around 265mm. The frame is carbon, the core is Power Foam (high-density EVA), the hitting surface is 3K carbon with Spin² Texture, and the profile measures 38mm. Key technologies: Sharp Hole Technology, Duo Grid Hole Pattern, Stability Channel and V-Bridge.

In practice, this means a racket that gives readable feedback in attack but holds something back in defence. The high-density foam core delivers a direct response, more precise than soft EVA and less raw than hard carbon. It is a middle ground that most reviewers describe as "medium, but leaning towards firm."

The Wilson Bela V3 2025's strongest quality is control, particularly on attacking shots that require precision. Reviewers show notable agreement on bandeja and víbora: feedback is clean and predictable, and the trajectory is reliable.

Another notable feature is the sweet spot, which is larger than the specifications initially suggest. Three sources describe this as a positive surprise. For a racket in this segment, with a teardrop shape, medium-high balance and 38mm profile, a sweet spot of 9/10 is not a given. This makes the Bela V3 more accessible than its direct character might suggest.

Defence is the clearest concern. Defensive lobs and blocks do not generate independent ball output: the ball does what you put into it, no more. Under pressure, or on balls you reach in a hurry, it lands shorter than intended. This is consistent across all three sources: the Bela V3 rewards attacking play and demands more from the player in defence.

Comfort is where independent sources disagree most, with a range of 6/10–9/10. Our weighted score is 7/10: the racket is not harsh in normal use, but feels harder on poor timing than a softer profile. This is a relevant consideration for players sensitive to hard contact.

The Bela V3 2025 suits experienced KNLTB 4–6 players who play an attacking game, are comfortable at the net and value control and a large sweet spot. Players concerned about arm comfort or with a defensive playing style may be better served by a softer profile.

The Bela Pro V3 is diamond-shaped, more attacking and aimed at tournament-level play. The Bela V3 is a teardrop, more all-round and suitable for a broader range of experienced players. The Pro requires more technique; the V3 is the more accessible choice in the same line.

Opinions differ. One reviewer rates comfort 6/10 and reports that the racket strains the arm on mistimed smashes. Two other sources rate comfort considerably higher (8–9/10). If arm comfort is a priority, the Wilson Bela LS V3 2025 or the Head Extreme Motion 2025 is a safer choice.

At the time of research (June 2026), prices at Dutch retailers range from around €175 to €195, well below the recommended retail price of €255. Prices may vary; check current prices with the retailer.

The Bela V3 is a teardrop; the Extreme Motion is a diamond with an attacking focus. They play differently: the Bela V3 offers sharper control and a more precise character; the Extreme Motion is softer, more forgiving and proven to be easier on the arm. For players unsure about arm comfort, the Extreme Motion is the safer choice.

Advantages & considerations

Advantages

Exceptional control on bandeja and víbora, a clean, predictable trajectory (9/10, strong consensus)

Surprisingly large sweet spot for a racket in this segment, more accessible than expected (9/10)

Good manoeuvrability that defies its specifications, agile in attacking situations

Strong value for money: heavily discounted against the recommended retail price (~€255)

Considerations

Defensive blocks lack independent ball output; under pressure, the ball lands shorter than intended (6/10)

Comfort on mistimed smashes is a warning sign: a dry, firm feel that strains the arm

Limited forgiveness outside the sweet spot; technical errors are not hidden (6/10)

What will you notice on court?

What you will notice as a player

The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.

A balanced racket that responds predictably in most situations.

Off-center contact is penalized: hitting just outside the sweet spot loses power and control.

No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.

Which shots are affected most?

SituationWhat will you notice?
DefenseReasonable: a calm swing returns most balls off the glass.
VolleyCrisp and agile: aiming feels effortless and late adjustments remain possible.
BandejaVery easy to control: the ball stays low and predictable, ideal for controlling the court.
ViboraEnough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own.
SmashIts strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket.
BlockStable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control.
Off-center ballReasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained.
