The Head Extreme line has three models, each with its own role: Pro for maximum power, Motion for all-round attacking play, Team for accessibility and comfort. Team is the softest of the three, a fiberglass face instead of carbon, a softer EVA core and the most forgiving sweet spot in the family.

The Head Extreme Team 2025 weighs around 360–365g, has a diamond shape and medium-high balance at 265mm. The playing surface is 494 cm² and the profile measures 38mm. Its distinguishing feature compared with Motion and Pro: fiberglass instead of carbon on the playing surface, a deliberate choice making its playing character softer and more forgiving.

The core is Power Foam in the EVA Soft variant, softer than standard EVA in Pro. Combined with Soft Cap+ technology in the handle, this produces the most vibration-absorbing model of the three.

Team is strongest in defence and forgiveness. Three sources agree: of the three Extreme models, Team is the most comfortable on imperfect contact, in defensive situations and during prolonged play.

In attack, Team is solid but not explosive. Reports that the racket "falls slightly short in attacking situations", with less push when accelerating than Pro or even Motion. Scores power 8/10 and manoeuvrability 6/10. Diamond shape provides some overhead power, but the soft fiberglass surface and low balance setting for a diamond limit explosiveness.

What distinguishes Team is defensive comfort. Where Pro and Motion require greater technical precision on lobs and defensive blocks, Team has its own softer response at lower ball speeds. Comfortable lobs, easy returns off the wall, good control on low balls, consistently reported as its strongest quality.

The Extreme Team suits KNLTB 5–9 players seeking the Head Extreme line with more comfort and forgiveness than Motion or Pro offer. Ideal if you are still developing technically or value arm or elbow comfort.

The Motion is diamond-shaped with a carbon face, more attacking and more overhead power. Team has a fiberglass face, softer, more forgiving, better in defence. For experienced attacking players, Motion is the stronger choice; Team better suits those prioritising comfort and tolerance.

Yes, it is the most arm-friendly model in the Extreme line. The fiberglass face and EVA Soft core absorb more vibrations than the carbon variants. Soft Cap+ technology further reduces handle vibration.

Yes, the racket suits both positions. "a genuinely mixed racket for right- and left-handed players, men and women." Forgiveness makes it versatile on court.

Advantages & considerations

Advantages

Softest and most forgiving of the three Extreme models (tolerance 8/10)

Excellent in defence, comfortable lobs, good control on low balls (8/10)

Fiberglass face absorbs more vibrations than carbon, more arm-friendly

A good entry into the Extreme family for players still developing technically

Considerations

Less attacking power than Pro, 'falls slightly short in attacking situations'

Lower manoeuvrability than Motion because of diamond shape with medium-high balance (6/10)

Less spin than Pro and Motion (spin 5/10, lowest of the three)

What will you notice on court?

What you will notice as a player

The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.

The racket helps in defense: a calm swing sends balls off the glass deep again.

At the net you react a little more slowly: the weight sits forward, so quick adjustments take more effort.

No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.

Which shots are affected most?

SituationWhat will you notice?
DefensePlenty of help: the low balance and generous sweet spot return balls off the glass calmly and deep.
VolleyComfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low.
BandejaEasy to control: the ball stays reasonably low and predictable.
ViboraEnough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own.
SmashIts strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket.
BlockThe forward weight makes quick blocks more demanding than with an agile racket.
Off-center ballReasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained.
