Control focused • Stable • Forgiving
The Head Gravity Pro 2024 is the calm end of the Head pyramid: round shape, even balance, control 9/10. Where Coello Pro (power 10/10) finishes points through smashes, Gravity Pro builds them through precision and placement. Comfort and control are its two strongest qualities; at the current price, one of the better options in the Head lineup.
The Head Gravity Pro 2024 weighs 360–375g (around 370g) and has a round shape with even balance. Profile 38mm. The face is carbon; the core Power Foam (medium-hard).
Round shape, the most forgiving form in padel: Round shape has a different centre of gravity from teardrop or diamond. The sweet spot is more central, not in the upper part. This gives more forgiveness across a broader range of contact points, but less 'free power' on overhead impact.
Head control hierarchy in 2024:
| Model | Shape | Control | Power | Profile |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gravity Pro | Round | 9/10 | 7/10 | Pure control |
| Speed Motion | Teardrop | 9/10 | 7/10 | Control + manoeuvrability |
| Extreme Motion | Diamond | 8/10 | 8/10 | Attacking + sweet spot |
Technologies:
- Auxetic, frame material for improved responsiveness (without 2.0 in the 2024 model)
- Power Foam, a medium-hard core for balanced feel
- Tailored Frame, each frame tube section individually designed for stability
- Smart Bridge, a bridge construction for control-oriented playing character
Control 9/10 is the highest in the Head padel lineup. Round shape positions the sweet spot more centrally; even balance (not head-heavy) makes the racket stable on every type of contact. "players seeking a large sweet spot with medium-hard feel."
Defence is rated 9/10, exceptionally high for a teardrop racket. Gravity Pro is built for right-side players building points through lobs, chiquitas and precise placement.
Power is rated 7/10. This is the deliberate limit of construction. Round shape has a lower centre of gravity, with less concentrated mass in the upper part on overhead smashes. Players primarily attacking through smashes and vibora shots are better off with teardrop or diamond.
Sweet spot is rated 8/10, the round-shape advantage. : "a really large sweet spot." Off-centre contact is penalised less than with a diamond or teardrop.
Gravity Pro is a round control racket (370g, even balance); Speed Motion a teardrop all-round racket (355g, head-heavy 270mm). Gravity Pro has the largest sweet spot (round shape) and best defensive qualities. Speed Motion is lighter and more manoeuvrable. Choose Gravity Pro for pure control; Speed Motion for control + manoeuvrability.
Round shape and a large sweet spot make it more accessible than a diamond, but 370g is heavy for beginners. Gravity Pro is for experienced players deliberately choosing control, not as a first racket.

What you will notice as a player
At the net you react very quickly: blocks and fast volleys feel almost effortless.
You place the ball very precisely; controlling rallies, playing cross-court and finding the corners feels predictable.
The racket helps in defense: a calm swing sends balls off the glass deep again.
The sweet spot offers forgiveness: slightly imperfect contact loses little accuracy.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Plenty of help: the low balance and generous sweet spot return balls off the glass calmly and deep. |
| Volley | Crisp and agile: aiming feels effortless and late adjustments remain possible. |
| Bandeja | Very easy to control: the ball stays low and predictable, ideal for controlling the court. |
| Vibora | Enough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own. |
| Smash | Enough power, but you still need to put considerable effort into the swing. |
| Block | A strong point: the racket is ready very quickly and returns the ball with control. |
| Off-center ball | Forgiving: just outside the sweet spot you lose little and the ball stays on course. |
