The Head Speed Pro 2025 is an attacking all-round teardrop without star-led marketing but serious figures: power 9/10, sweet spot 8/10, manoeuvrability 8/10. Auxetic 2.0 enlarges the hitting area; Power Foam gives medium-hard feel. The weakness is clear: spin 5-6/10. At a street price of ~€175-€180 (from €280 RRP), strong value.
Teardrop shape, 370g, head-heavy balance (270mm), 38mm profile. Hybrid Woven face (carbon + fibreglass), Power Foam core (medium-hard), Carbon frame with Graphene Inside.
Head Speed Pro vs Head Speed Motion 2025:
| Speed Pro 2025 | Speed Motion 2025 | |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 370g | 355g |
| Balance | Head-heavy (270mm) | Even |
| Power | 9/10 | 8/10 |
| Control | 8/10 | 9/10 |
| Pro player | , | Ari Sánchez |
Speed Pro is 15g heavier and more offensive; Speed Motion lighter and more control-oriented. Both are teardrop all-round rackets with comparable technology.
Technologies:
- Auxetic 2.0, structural material expanding when stretched, enlarging the effective sweet spot
- Graphene Inside, graphene in the frame for stability and energy transfer
- Damp Plus, vibration cushioning around core and handle
- Smart Bridge, frame architecture adapting to playing style
- Soft Butt Cap 2.0, a shock-absorbing handle base (new in 2025)
Power is rated 9/10, the highest in the Head Speed line. Confirms this for the 2025 version. The head-heavy balance (270mm) and Power Foam core combine for maximum energy transfer on overhead attacks and drives from the back court.
Sweet spot is rated 8/10. Auxetic 2.0 makes the difference: material expands when stretched, enlarging the effective contact area. For an attacking teardrop, this is a large hitting area.
Spin is rated 5-6/10, the most striking figure in the profile. Hybrid Woven is smooth, generating less friction than rough 3D carbon or Carbon Aluminized. Players relying on topspin or slice will miss this.
Comfort is rated 7/10. Power Foam core offers some cushioning; Damp Plus filters vibrations. Not the softest choice here; a softer core (EVA Soft or Fibrix) is better for players seeking soft contact feel.
Manoeuvrability is rated 8/10. 370g is not light, but teardrop shape and Auxetic technology create an agile feel at the net.
Speed Pro (370g, head-heavy) is more offensive, power 9/10. Speed Motion (355g, even) is lighter and more control-oriented, control 9/10. Motion is Ari Sánchez's signature racket and popular with female players. Pro is heavier and suitable for attacking players.
Moderately, comfort is rated 7/10. Power Foam core offers some cushioning, and Damp Plus reduces vibrations. For players with serious arm problems, softer-core rackets (such as Fibrix or EVA Soft) are better choices.
The smooth Hybrid Woven surface generates less friction than rough or textured carbon faces. Players hitting much topspin or slice are better off with 3D texture or Carbon Aluminized surfaces.
Advantages
Power 9/10, strong offensive profile for a teardrop
Auxetic 2.0, enlarges sweet spot on off-centre contact
Sweet spot 8/10 and forgiveness 8/10, accessible for regular players
Damp Plus, vibration cushioning for wrist and elbow
Street price ~€175 (36% below RRP), strong value
Considerations
Spin 5-6/10, no spin specialist because of smooth Hybrid Woven surface
Comfort 7/10, not ideal for arm or elbow problems
No professional player signature, less market recognition
What you will notice as a player
The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.
The racket helps in defense: a calm swing sends balls off the glass deep again.
The sweet spot offers forgiveness: slightly imperfect contact loses little accuracy.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Plenty of help: the low balance and generous sweet spot return balls off the glass calmly and deep. |
| Volley | Comfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low. |
| Bandeja | Very easy to control: the ball stays low and predictable, ideal for controlling the court. |
| Vibora | Enough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own. |
| Smash | Its strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket. |
| Block | Stable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control. |
| Off-center ball | Forgiving: just outside the sweet spot you lose little and the ball stays on course. |
