Explosive • Control focused • Comfortable
The Adidas Arrow Hit Attack 2026 is Adidas' accessible attacking diamond outside the Metalbone line. Diamond shape, high balance, Advanced Composite face, Standard EVA core. Power 9, smash 9: an attacking profile for players with some to extensive experience who want to experiment with IBS personalisation. This is the racket for attackers with some experience who find the Metalbone HRD+ too expensive or too extreme. Its strength: the IBS system makes the balance point adjustable, a feature that is rare at this price. Its limitation: Advanced Composite is less responsive than carbon at higher swing speeds; experienced attackers feel the difference. At €279, it offers fair value for money in its segment.
The Adidas Arrow Hit Attack 2026 weighs 360–375g, with a diamond shape and high balance (278mm, adjustable). Profile 38mm. Face: Advanced Composite. Core: Standard EVA. Frame: Composite. Price: ~€279.
Arrow Hit Attack vs. Metalbone power models:
| Model | Carbon | Power | Comfort | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arrow Hit Attack 2026 | No (composite) | 9 | 7 | ~€279 |
| Metalbone 3.5 2026 | Yes | 9 | 7 | ~€350+ |
| Metalbone HRD+ 2026 | Yes (16K Alum) | 10 | 6 | ~€390 |
The Arrow Hit Attack deliberately uses no carbon: Adidas chose Advanced Composite to make the profile more accessible. Expert-level carbon attackers get more from the Metalbone line; experienced attackers developing their game find the Arrow Hit Attack a solid stepping stone.
IBS in the attacking configuration: In the Attack configuration, IBS is set to a high balance by default for overhead power. Players can adjust it towards neutral for more all-round use. This is the opposite use case to the CTRL: the Attack can be made more all-round; the CTRL can be made more attacking.
Technologies:
- IBS (Intelligent Balance System), an adjustable weight system up to +9g
- MPS (Multi-Position System), adjustable positions in the frame
- Power Groove, frame geometry for a powerful swing
- ASC Surface, an anti-slip coating for spin potential
Power 9: the Arrow Hit Attack delivers solid attacking performance for its price point. Advanced Composite is a different material from carbon, however: at the same balance and geometry, composite is slightly less direct in its energy transfer than 12K or 18K carbon.
For attackers with some to extensive experience, this difference is not decisive in everyday use. For experts who want to optimise every detail of their overheads, the Metalbone line delivers more.
Sweet spot is rated 7/10, inherent to the diamond geometry. The high balance (278mm) moves the centre of mass towards the head, reducing the effective sweet spot.
Comfort is rated 7/10. Advanced Composite + Standard EVA + high balance is a firm combination. Not as stiff as the Metalbone HRD+ (comfort 6), but it does not offer a soft contact feel either: the response remains firm.
The IBS advantage in practice: players can set the Attack to a lower balance for more manoeuvrability at the net. This makes it more versatile than pure power diamonds that offer no adjustment.
The Arrow Hit Attack is an accessible power racket for players with some experience who want the attacking style of the Adidas line without the premium price of the Metalbone series. The diamond shape and high balance provide overhead power; the affordable price makes it accessible to players making their first move to an attacking racket.
The Attack has a diamond shape and high balance focused on power and attack. The Control has a different design with more emphasis on accuracy and consistency. Choose the Attack if you play an attacking, offensive game; choose the Control if you want more control and versatility.
The Metalbone 3.5 has Carbon Aluminized 16K and a Weight and Balance System, premium specifications for experienced attackers. The Arrow Hit Attack is an entry-level model with simpler specifications. The Metalbone is significantly more expensive and suited to a higher level; the Arrow Hit Attack is a better fit for players with some experience and a smaller budget.
Reasonably so for a diamond racket. As an entry-level attacking racket, it places less strain on the arm than the stiffer Metalbone series. For arm or elbow discomfort, we recommend a control racket with a round shape and soft core.
Not ideal. The diamond shape and high balance require technical skill. Beginners often lack the consistent stroke needed to make good use of a power diamond. Players with a year or more of experience benefit more from this racket.
The Adipower line (Multiweight, 3.3) is the premium attacking segment from Adidas, with more advanced carbon and better construction. The Arrow Hit Attack is the entry-level line with simpler specifications but a similar attacking profile. Choose the Arrow Hit if budget matters; choose the Adipower if you want maximum performance.

What you will notice as a player
The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.
A balanced racket that responds predictably in most situations.
At the net you react a little more slowly: the weight sits forward, so quick adjustments take more effort.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Reasonable: a calm swing returns most balls off the glass. |
| Volley | Comfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low. |
| Bandeja | Easy to control: the ball stays reasonably low and predictable. |
| Vibora | Enough bite for a quick brushing shot with some acceleration of your own. |
| Smash | Its strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket. |
| Block | The forward weight makes quick blocks more demanding than with an agile racket. |
| Off-center ball | Reasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained. |
