Explosive • Comfortable • Control focused
The Head Coello Motion 2026 upgrades the popular 2025 version with Red Power Foam, comfort rises from 7 to 8 while power remains 9. The same attacking diamond with a noticeably more pleasant feel.
The Head Coello Motion 2026 weighs 355–370g, diamond shape, medium-high balance (272mm). Profile 38mm. Face: 12K Carbon. Core: Red Power Foam. Frame: Carbon.
Coello Motion vs. Coello Pro:
| Feature | Motion 2026 | Pro 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Face | 12K Carbon | 18K Aluminized Carbon |
| Core | Red Power Foam | Red Power Foam |
| Balance | Medium-high 272mm | High 280mm |
| Weight | 355–370g | 370–380g |
| Price | ~€199 | ~€288 |
| Power | 9 | 10 |
| Manoeuvrability | 8 | 7 |
The Motion shares the Red Power Foam core with the Pro, with the same core character. The difference lies in the face (12K vs. 18K) and balance (272mm vs. 280mm). In practice: slightly less explosive overhead response, but noticeably more manageable around the court.
Technologies:
- 12K Carbon, uniform fibre density for consistent shot response
- Red Power Foam, a stiffer EVA variant for power output
- SpiralFibers Technology, diagonal fibres for torsional stability
- Control Zone, reinforced frame geometry for balance control
Power 9 with medium-high balance is a practical combination for players seeking power without the full commitment of a high-balance diamond. The 272mm balance provides enough head weight for powerful overheads while the racket recovers faster after the swing.
Comfort is rated 8/10, the same score as the Coello Pro. Red Power Foam does its job whether in a Pro or Motion. This is an attacking racket that remains comfortable during longer rallies too.
Sweet spot is rated 7/10. The Motion is slightly more forgiving than the Pro because of its lower balance, but it remains a diamond, with noticeable off-centre contact. For players with consistent technique who do not hit every overhead perfectly, this is the better choice than the Pro.
Manoeuvrability is rated 8/10. Lower weight (355–370g vs. 370–380g) and lower balance provide noticeably quicker transitions. This makes the Motion a better all-round racket than the Pro.
The 2026 has Red Power Foam (comfort 8 vs. 7), a concrete upgrade. Finding the 2025 on sale (€180–€220) offers excellent value. At a comparable price: 2026 is the better choice.
The Coello Pro 2026 is the premium model: a higher overall score, stiffer carbon, more power but less comfort. The Motion 2026 has Red Power Foam for comfort 8 against the Pro's sharper but harder core. If you play an attacking game but want to retain elbow comfort: Motion. For experts prioritising maximum power above everything with good overhead technique: Pro. The Motion is also €30–€50 cheaper and 15–20g lighter, benefiting manoeuvrability.
Advantages
Red Power Foam provides comfort 8, higher than the 2025 Motion (7) with comparable power
355–370g is lighter than the Coello Pro 2026, more manoeuvrability at the net
Auxetic 2.0 sweet spot enlargement, more effective than standard diamond constructions
Successor to the popular 2025 version with a concrete comfort upgrade
Considerations
Diamond shape remains less accessible than teardrop for players without overhead technique
Spin is rated 8 but control 7, a power diamond character
Less power than the Coello Pro 2026 (9 vs. 10)
What you will notice as a player
The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.
A balanced racket that responds predictably in most situations.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Reasonable: a calm swing returns most balls off the glass. |
| Volley | Comfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low. |
| Bandeja | Easy to control: the ball stays reasonably low and predictable. |
| Vibora | Very explosive: plenty of speed and bite, a natural shot for this racket. |
| Smash | Its strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket. |
| Block | Stable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control. |
| Off-center ball | Reasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained. |
