Explosive • Control focused • Agile
Arturo Coello, world number one, normally plays with the Coello Pro. The Motion is its more accessible sibling: the same diamond shape and Graphene-reinforced frame, but with a Power Foam core instead of EVA High Memory. The result is a high-powered attacking racket more forgiving than Coello's professional profile suggests.
The Head Coello Motion 2025 weighs 345–360g, diamond shape, medium-high balance (~268mm). Profile 38mm. Face: Hybrid Carbon with Graphene Inside. Core: Power Foam. Frame: Carbon + Graphene.
Motion vs. Pro differences:
| Feature | Coello Motion | Coello Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Core | Power Foam | EVA High Memory |
| Weight | 345–360g | 375g |
| Balance | Medium-high | High (272mm) |
| Power | 9/10 | 10/10 |
| Comfort | 7/10 | 6/10 |
| Manoeuvrability | 8/10 | 7/10 |
The Motion is 15–30g lighter than the Pro and has lower balance, the two factors making it feel softer and more manageable.
Technologies:
- Auxetic 2.0, frame material that expands at impact for an enlarged sweet spot area
- Power Foam, cushions vibrations more effectively than EVA High Memory; more pleasant for players hitting many overheads
- Extreme Spin, a rough surface for extra rotation on sliced shots
- Graphene Touch, a Graphene-reinforced frame for stable energy transfer
Power is rated 9/10, one point below the Pro but still in the highest attacking segment. On smashes, the Power Foam core does not deliver the maximum snap of EVA High Memory, but the difference is smaller than the numbers suggest. Most players notice it only in side-by-side comparative tests.
Sweet spot is rated 7/10. For a diamond racket, that is acceptable. The Auxetic 2.0 frame enlarges the effective contact area compared with standard diamond constructions, but a teardrop or round racket remains more forgiving on off-centre contact.
Manoeuvrability is rated 8/10, high for a diamond in this price segment. Lower weight (345g base vs. 375g Pro) makes the difference at the net and in quick close-range exchanges.
Control is rated 8/10. That is better than expected for a power diamond; the Power Foam core cushions the hard response of EVA High Memory, allowing more precise placement on medium-height shots.
The Pro has EVA High Memory (stiffer, more power) and higher balance for maximum attacking power. The Motion has Power Foam (softer, more cushioning) and slightly lower balance, making it more accessible and comfortable. For experts seeking the absolute maximum: Pro. For experienced players seeking Coello character with more comfort: Motion.
No. Diamond shape and high balance require an attacking style and overhead technique. Beginners are better off with a low-balance teardrop or round racket. The Motion is for experienced through to expert level.
Advantages
Power Foam core cushions vibrations better than EVA High Memory, more comfortable than the Coello Pro
Auxetic 2.0 enlarges the sweet spot area for a diamond racket
Graphene-reinforced frame provides stable energy transfer on smashes
Lighter than the Pro (345g base), more manoeuvrability for attackers playing at the net
Considerations
Diamond shape requires overhead technique, not suitable for beginners
Less power than the Coello Pro (9 vs. 10)
High balance reduces control in defensive back-court play
What you will notice as a player
The smash gets plenty of easy power; you do not need a full follow-through to put the ball away.
A balanced racket that responds predictably in most situations.
No pronounced weakness, but no single shot where the racket particularly stands out either.
Which shots are affected most?
| Situation | What will you notice? |
|---|---|
| Defense | Reasonable: a calm swing returns most balls off the glass. |
| Volley | Comfortable and stable; aiming is easy and you keep the ball low. |
| Bandeja | Very easy to control: the ball stays low and predictable, ideal for controlling the court. |
| Vibora | Very explosive: plenty of speed and bite, a natural shot for this racket. |
| Smash | Its strongest point: maximum power with little effort, sending the ball away like a rocket. |
| Block | Stable: the racket is ready in time and returns the ball with control. |
| Off-center ball | Reasonably forgiving: outside the sweet spot you lose some speed, while accuracy is largely maintained. |
